It's that time of year...again!

Below: Sunrise on Saturday, snapped from the front bedroom window.

Our snow is gone now, mercifully; however, it's that time of year again....

At the mall early yesterday morning, well before it opened.

I had popped in to grab a London fog tea latté in between buses, saw the holiday decorations up now. Santa's village looks much the same as it did last year, and I was told (when I asked) that "Santa" will arrive this Friday. Note to self: Avoid the mall at all costs until after the holidays, unless very early in the morning! (Or I'm in a masochist mood.)

By the squealing of a couple of toddlers yesterday, checking it out with their parents, you'd have thought Santa was going to be there momentarily! They were cute, but at 9 AM, the little girl's shrill shrieking was just about enough to burst my eardrums. Especially before I'd ingested any caffeine. 😏

Below: Jake (one of the neighourhood mooches) earlier this month. George has been around too, though he's harder to get a pic of, since he doesn't stay still.

Jake has a very good technique to get extra treats: Bump my hand as I'm bending down with the treat bag, so about a quarter of the (extra large) bag spills out all over the step. Yes, I complimented him on that strategy. (I've stopped giving them Fancy Feast, since they both have homes and are just little "piggies".)

That's it for me, really there's nothing "exciting" to write about, which is okay. Sometimes "excitement" can be the kind that you don't want! (Example: My aunt fell a couple of weeks ago and broke her collarbone...that's the kind of "excitement" we can all do without!)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

The mall looks pretty, but is definitely a place I would want to stay away from.
Jake looks lovely and sounds very savvy! I hope your aunt heals well.
Too bad about your aunt's fall. Broken bones, not good. Don't you try that when there's snow outside. Love the sky view. We had a pretty one the other morn and I'm happy to say we have sun for the 2nd day in a row. But way below freezing still at 10 AM. Jake is a handsome and very smart boy. Don't blame you for stopping the FF. Maybe just for Christmas Day if they show up? I'm with you on the mall. I would have to drive 40 miles to get to one and we do this once during the winter, but after Christmas and when the decorations are down. I am glad to see yours as I do miss seeing fun decorations. Wishing you many Monday Holidays, but doubt they are in the forecast.

Beautiful skies.
I love the 'joy, wish hope". Santa's couch looks quite cozy too.
Having raised a very vocal female....I know the squealing can be deafening. When she had friends over, the squeals and giggles would run you out of the house.
London Fog tea Latte?! Sounds intriguing.
Your area has some mighty handsome men cats.

Apologies I meant to include a healing get well for your Aunt too.
Your Mall sure is looking festive and Jake sure looks treat ready!

Oh my, I hope your aunt progresses quickly! Bless her. Your "moocher" cats...that always make me smile when you speak of them. Love seeing them to. Have you met their parents?

Yes, excitement can be of the unwanted kind. I like Christmas but when it starts this early, the excitement palls.
Dear friend, beautiful sunrise! I love cats, as you know, what a gorgeous feline! The mall looks beautiful! The cartoon made me smile.

Yes, the days are coming, and fast. They want the kids to be able to come see Santa during the Thanksgiving days off of school.

I'm so sorry about your aunt, I do hope her collarbone mends very quicly.

Beautiful sunrise!
The shops here are full of Christmas, and they haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet. I have seen no sign of Santa yet, but assume that won't be long coming.
Cute cat and a smart one too!
Wishing your aunt a speedy recovery. Falls are so dangerous as we grow older.

We, too, would be unable to resist Jake's moochy charms. That sunset is beautiful, and the decorations are coming fast and furious here, too. I was in NYC today (as I am 2x/week), and it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas there. Sending healing purrs and all good thought for your aunt.

That sunrise is amazingly beautiful!
Jake's hack for getting extra treats must be available on the kitty grapevine. Our "outdoor kitties", Callicallou and Melba, do it too.
