Home Safe and Sound!

Got in around 7:30PM my time...Long day, but at least safe travels. Thank you, gods and goddesses, Fates, whatever. Will try to wade through all the pics and do some editing this weekend, post later. Hope all is well with everyone! OMC, my house...What did all the kitties do while I was gone? LOL. Actually, I thought Derry would hide out for hours, but he came down right away when he recognized my voice. Yay, Derry! Going to unpack now...Everyone have a wonderful night. I really am happy to be home, to sleep in my own bed tonight. Love my mom dearly, and Harry too, but of course home always is best.  :-)

It's the bathtub drain

Image
Not that anyone but me really cares, but I'm 99.99% sure the leak is in the bathtub drain. I filled up the tub a short while ago, ran down while the water was running but couldn't hear any drips. Then ran down after I was done and had pulled the plug and sure enough...drip, drip, drip...much more dripping this evening, and faster. So I don't think this has been doing on for too long, otherwise I suspect I would have heard it. This means that whoever repairs it should be able to cut a hole in the kitchen ceiling and access the pipes from there...I hope. However, even if that's the case, I still want estimates on a complete reno, since it has to be done sooner or later. So we'll see what tomorrow brings. I won't be using the tub again, though, until the problem is fixed. So tomorrow night it's the laundry tub in the basement for me! And no, Mom, I'm not getting pics of that. Eeeewwww. LOL.

Annie's home and hanging around

She's home and hanging around in the basement right now, though she's come upstairs for a few minutes, a couple of times. I brought her inside and up into a spare room, thinking to keep her there for a few hours to settle in, but she made such a ruckus I gave up after about 15 minutes, if that. The boys haven't hissed or fussed at her all; she, of course, has hissed at Nicki. Felix would be proud. She had a wander around the main level, had a few bites to eat (Derry's food) and then made her way to the basement. I'm going to pick up some RestoraLAX (MiraLAX in the US) and try that to keep her stool soft, perhaps a couple of other additives (natural remedies) as well. It was suggested by my vet, though I already had info on it. It's a powder and so can be put in food, not a sweet, sticky substance like Lactulose. She won't eat food with pumpkin. I'm thinking I'll have to change the feeding routine, though, because right now I feed at certain tim...
