Musings on a Small Life

Monday has been like...Monday. Crazy. Hair-pulling. Frazzled. More often than not, Mondays are calm and Fridays are nuts, but not today. There's nothing like being caught in the middle of a sticky issue when all you've done is send an email on behalf of your boss, per his request...but it opens a can of worms for at least one person. (My "old" boss, is on vacation this week, will have to deal with it when he gets back. Well, that's what he's paid the big bucks for. Ha.) Anyway, a few pics from yesterday. Comments off. First, a quick follow up to the jury selection: I now have confirmation that it has been deferred till next spring. Great! I hope I'm busy at that time too. LOL. Second, this morning a co-worker passed on a very interesting letter written to the top person in the organization, after the unexpected firing of my boss's boss back in June. The letter was written by someone now retired who had extensive experience in the top office. It was scathing . Brilliantly and professionally written, but absolutely scathing. And it's a long story as to how it's making the rounds; suffice to say that the letter-writer had given permission to a particular individual to distribute as s/he saw fit. Reading it confirmed that it's not just my perception, that things are seriously amiss upstairs, and have been for quite some time now. Well, top brass comes...and top brass goes. Just a few harbour shots, i.e. fog and water.  :-)  New waterfront condos. Wonder how much they go for. The famous three churches, though you can hardly see the one on the far right. I have no idea why they're famous, would have to Google and look that up and I'm too lazy. I just know that every postcard of Mahone Bay features those three churches. I'm assuming one's Anglican, one's Catholic and one's....? Well, that's my guess, at any rate. I liked the patterns in the sand. I should have put borders around the images, but again, was too lazy. There's a theme here...  At least it wasn't a windy day. Say 'bye to Mahone Bay! Next up will be a few downtown Halifax shots, by Piers 20 - 23, the area where immigrants used to land and cruise ships now dock. Pier 21 is a museum, but we didn't tour it, just walked around a bit outside. Universal Blessings, Light and Mercy to All Beings.
