Musings on a Small Life

[Note: No real update on the Bottomless Pit of Need, a.k.a. Nicki. He's using the box at the back of the basement with Cat Attract litter in it, as well as the other litter boxes. It remains to be seen if he'll still feel the need to use the empty Rubbermaid container. I'm picking up some Zylkene for him today, to try. I called our vet clinic yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find that they still carry it. I've finally manged to edit all the pics, though I promise I won't subject you to all 259. Yes, only 259; I had inadvertently counted two older pics that were in my "to be edited" file. So, back to Mahone Bay! Mom took me into a quilt shop, and while I like to look at quilts and can appreciate the work (most of these are hand-sewn, apparently, not machine-quilted), they don't generally go with my own more modern decor. I once saw an exhibit of old quilts at the National Art Gallery in Ottawa, though, and those were magnificent, mostly because of the history behind them. All these wonderful babies/children's quilts were on the second level of the shop. After that we stopped in at a tea shop, which was more my, well, cup of tea.  :-) Wow, the tea must be good!  Some of the many teas for purchase.  Pretty--and large--cup!  Some of the many cups and mugs for sale.  More pretty, gigantic cups and saucers.  Even a couple of cat items.  My favourites were ...
