Mahone Bay Part 2

I've finally manged to edit all the pics, though I promise I won't subject you to all 259. Yes, only 259; I had inadvertently counted two older pics that were in my "to be edited" file.

So, back to Mahone Bay!

Mom took me into a quilt shop, and while I like to look at quilts and can appreciate the work (most of these are hand-sewn, apparently, not machine-quilted), they don't generally go with my own more modern decor. I once saw an exhibit of old quilts at the National Art Gallery in Ottawa, though, and those were magnificent, mostly because of the history behind them.

All these wonderful babies/children's quilts were on the second level of the shop.

After that we stopped in at a tea shop, which was more my, well, cup of tea.  :-)

The only thing I bought on the trip was some tea--a handful of sample packages from this shop. I haven't tried them yet, but am looking forward to doing so.

I still have a few harbour pics to post, but I'll leave those for tomorrow. These are enough (boring) snapshots for one post. It's kind of like the old days when I was a child and we'd have dinner guests, would subject them to a slideshow after eating. Ha. Only in this case you actually aren't trapped and don't have to read the posts or view the pics. LOL.
