No birthday is complete without a tussle

Image
Yesterday was Derry's 11th birthday, which I completely forgot (!) until I read a blog post about someone's wedding anniversary (also yesterday). So thank you, Caren/Cody! He didn't get any presents (yet), but he did get lots of cuddles and smooches, and of course a tussle with Nicki too. What occasion would be complete without that?               All in all, he seemed to enjoy the day, and we had only short-lived light rain in the afternoon to interrupt his garden time. All that celebrating is exhausting, though, especially when you're middle-aged!  :-P The boys send purrs to all for the week ahead. Peace.

It's deja vu for this Tuesday Tussle

Now, haven't we seen this before?  :-) Pics snapped Sunday morning. In the beginning, all was well.... Nicki got the corner chair first and Derry seemed content.       However, eventually Derry decided enough was enough, time to reclaim "his" chair. And so it went. :-)                Yes, to the victor goes the spoils. Again. Nicki didn't seem too put out, though. At least he had a few minutes in the coveted corner chair! On another note: Right now our thoughts and purrayers are with the millions of Beings affected by the catastrophic flooding in Texas. I've been watching a lot of the coverage on TV and I have difficulty grasping the enormity of the disaster, of that much endless rain. The last major storm we had here dumped 110 mm of rain on us in a day, and that was incredible; I can't fathom 7 to 10 times that amount. There's not much I can do, but I am sending out universal Light...

Tuesday Tussle: "To the victor goes the spoils"

Or in this case, the victor kept the spoils. The snapshots are self-explanatory.                            Peace .

Happy 10th Gotcha Day, Nicki!

Ten years ago little brat Nicki came home with me. He still can be a brat sometimes, and a trouble-maker, though he's also a love and a real purr bug.  :-) Here are a few pics of Monday morning's tussle with Derry, in the wonderful sunshine. Click to enlarge for Derry's expressions.  :-D                   Things were getting a little too heated (and not from the sunshine) and intense at this point, so I had words with them and broke it up. That seldom happens, most of the time it's just a good tussle. I hope Nicki will be vigorously tussling for some years yet, though you never know what the Fates have in store. Nonetheless, I'm glad he came to live with me a decade ago. He's certainly not boring to have around! Peace.
