Musings on a Small Life

Truly. Not kidding. The TMI stuff that no one talks about, so you're left kind of thinking, "WTF?" So, I'm a really hairy person. Hairy arms and legs, thank goodness it's blonde. Not into the pain of waxing, thanks, so I've always shaved under my arms. Every other day, my entire adult life. Now, all of a sudden, the underarm hair doesn't seem to be growing very quickly. On the days I typically would be removing anything offending, I can't even see anything, can barely even discern a few bits of stubble with a magnifying mirror. Where the heck is all the hair going ?! You know where it's going? It's all going to my face , that's where it's going!  :-O Peace .

Pics from Monday, when I walked the perimeter of RMC (Royal Military College). Vehicles came and went, a few people passed me by, no one stopped me or asked what I was doing. It's open to the public and tour trolleys do go in during the warmer months. The only time RMC was closed to visitors that I can recall, at least recently, was after Corporal Nathan Cirillo was killed in October 2014 while standing guard at the War Memorial on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. I couldn't help but think that "only in Canada" would I be able to saunter around a military college without being questioned. (Note: I do believe vehicles are stopped at the entrance, so it's not a free-for-all, and I suppose one benign-looking middle-aged woman with a camera in hand on a cold winter day wouldn't exactly raise any red flags.) I went to our city greenhouse on Sunday afternoon, was the first one in around 1:45, so had about 15 minutes all to myself before the place officially opened at 2PM. This is the kind of warm nature I appreciate! Click to enlarge for best viewing.                         Even though I couldn't smell the flowers, the colour was glorious . I took over 150 snapshots, and didn't delete many at all, so I have a lot more to post -- though I promise I won't post them all, or even close to it. LOL. After the floral snapshots, I have more winter themed pics from a jaunt around the Royal Military College on our holiday Monday. Cold, but sunny, and nice to walk around the perimeter, all along the water. Peace .
