Decisions, Decisions (and Jaunt to the Cemetery)
I think that sometimes we have too many options about so many things in life. It can make decisions so much more difficult. Or maybe it's just me, dithering back and forth about the trivial, inconsequential things.
However, I actually decided to forgo redoing the other two closet doors at this time, as my preference is to get some painting done (upper hallway and entire downstairs) this year. I can't do everything. So Mr. Handyman can do the guest room closet and I'll let the others go for now.
I did go back to Rona this morning, though (had a nice walk up, only about 3 kms or so), and ordered another sheet of drywall, some untreated 8-foot 2x4s, metal corner beads and--at long last--a real step ladder. How I've managed to live 11 years in this townhouse with only step stools is beyond me.
So I added today's items to the delivery order, for next Saturday.
Then I went to Starbucks to fortify myself with a vanilla non-fat latté and espresso brownie (brownie saved for later), and went for a jaunt in the cemetery.
It was a lovely early Spring day, lots of woodpeckers around, chipmunks, etc. A few people too. I came across one woman at a grave site, she had her hands on the (newer-looking) stone, head bowed. As I approached (well off to the side and away from her, to give her privacy), she kissed the headstone, then went back to her car and left. I didn't turn back to check the grave, just kept going. I felt badly for intruding on her grief.
Every time I go there, something different strikes me and today was no exception.

Signs of Spring
The lack of names caught my eye...Just "father, mother, brother" and the last name. I wondered who they were.
This monument is missing something....
More signs of Spring
My dad attended LCC and this man would have been headmaster at the time.
And what touched me the most: This Christmas tree, fully decorated for a then two-year old little girl who passed away almost 34 years ago. It's obvious how deeply loved and missed she still is.
I'm glad I went today. I almost didn't, but somehow my feet turned down the narrow street leading into the cemetery anyway.

Anyway!! I am so glad you went to the cemetary. What amazing sights!! And a whole array of human emotions and frailty to observe. I like that.
The decorated christmas tree is just lovely - there are an infinite amount of stories just with that pic!!
Yay for lovely signs of spring!!! And big delivery for next weekend!
Take care

I agree about the options thing - I think I would worry less about EVERYLITTLETHING if I had fewer choices - I guess we're just never satisfied huh? LOL
Hope you had a nice weekend Kim ~ glad to see you are getting some spring! :)
