Sunday "Happys"

I've been feeling a bit "off" this weekend, haven't done much at all either day, very atypical for me. So I thought it would be the perfect time to "jot" a few "happys" down and reset my focus.

I'm happy for:
  • My morning mug of coffee--I had given up coffee for a couple of years, till I found a nice low-acid blend that I can drink without tummy upset. I love my morning coffee--and the lite coffee cream!
  • Spring blossoms and rich, green grass.
  • A weekend of sunshine.
  • Getting two hanging baskets of pink geraniums from a local grocery store. I'll be doing a garden centre run mid-month, but it was nice to get something early.
  • Getting sunflower seeds as well. I hope that some germinate, after I plant them, and that they survive the cats' gardening "help."
  • A kid-quiet night last night. I thought they must have been drugged into unconsciousness or be away, they were so quiet. Unlike Friday evening and night, where it seemed like an endless screaming, door-slamming, pounding tantrum from the boy. I'd like to remove both their vocal chords, frankly.
  • Two radio stations that I get via the new digital TV package, one jazz and one classical.
  • Snapping some floral pics yesterday, on the way to the grocery store. The weather's been so cold and crappy that I've not been walking much, am glad I got at least a few snapshots of something other than the cats.
  • Plenty of food in the freezer...I just have to cook. (Okay, cooking's not a happy for me, as everyone knows, but eating sure is.)
  • Having weekends off! I take it for granted now, to have a Monday through Friday job, but that wasn't always the case and I need to remember that many jobs don't offer that.
I highly recommend a "happy" journal, and especially doing it at the end of the day before your bed time. Helps to wrap things up on a positive note, but it's good to do at any time of the day, whenever you need a bit of a boost.

Along the side of one of the townhouse units in our complex.
Along the way to the grocery store.
The daffodils must have peaked yesterday, as the
same ones were done today, when I passed by again.
Universal Blessings, Light and Mercy to All Beings.

I'm happy seeing these picture perfect shots of gorgeous blooms (the white bleeding heart is fab!!)!!

Oh there was a great big giant humungus gigantic and utterly HUGE full moon last night - that's what I blame for all the crazy emotional female health madness (well mine anyway! LOL!!)!

I think your idea of a "Happy Journal" is a wonderful one. I need to implement this not just on the "down days" but every day!
Loved your beautiful photos!

Yup, a 'happy' list is needed - I used to do the old AA 'gratitude list' a lot but have fallen out of touch with it and this is just what I need to do.... so happy to have read your blog :)

much to enjoy. a good idea, to pause and take stock of one's blessings, no matter their size.
