Calmer Yesterday
Things were calmer at home yesterday, mercifully no cat fights and relatively "quiet" next door. Only one ENORMOUS bang when someone (mother?) came home (or perhaps left). I wondered, at the time, how many calories that would expend, because to slam a door that hard would take significant effort. Maybe I should search on myfitnesspal.com to find out. :-p
I do have plans for home renos that should help significantly with the noise from the adjoining unit, but as everything still is up in the air re: timing, I won't go into any details. I hope for next month, but it might end up being later. I'm not sure I'll be able to hold it together, though, if it's delayed past November.
I can't--can't--have both crappy work and home environments.
We have no date yet re: our work move, btw. I took some time this morning to purge my own paper files, clearing out everything prior to 2007. It really is ridiculous, the amount of paper we can accumulate in our supposed paperless society.
That's it for me. I'm meeting up with an old acquaintance for coffee tomorrow, have to run errands, etc. The usual. I won't hold my breath for a quiet weekend, but I will cross my fingers I can endure it. I can understand perfectly how people can snap and commit terrible acts of violence in fits of rage. I can't understand premeditated actions, but being pushed past one's limit and going over the edge? Yes, I understand how that can happen only too well.
The boys are unimpressed with and uncaring of my emotional state! (Pics snapped through the window.)
Purrs from the boys and peace from me. (Please, let there be peace--in me and around me!)

I can totally understand how people can snap in fits of rage. I do hope the home reno WILL happen quickly and will bring down the noise from the horrors.
Have a lovely weekend!
I'm taking you're planning to soundproof your home? Fingers crossed! You really need to own your space again.
