Thanks for the visit, Mr. Murphy

It's an unwritten law of the Universe that your washing machine will die after (or during) the wash cycle, but before the spin cycle. 

On a Sunday at 5AM.

On a long holiday weekend.

 
 
I'm not going into details of how difficult it is to hand rinse sheets and towels in a spare (unused) litter box in your basement wash sink.

Or how long it takes to bail out a washer full of dirty water.

I'll just say that I'm waiting for the vacation fun to start!  

Oh, and I did I mention that the sky looks ominous right now, like rain and thunder are in the offing?

Well sh*t that sucks! Have you a handyman on speed dial or will you have to replace it?

I hope whatever the problem is, will be quick and easy (and cheap) to repair.

BOY you are right about Murphey. I suffered his revenge in much the same way. But it has mercifully been several years ago.

Oh Kim you have my luck. Like the time I made up my spare bed with all new bedding the night before visitors arrived, and then the cat came and did a big chuck in the middle of the bed - awesome. Did that make you feel better?

Things keep happening to you, don't they? And not good things. The closest I've had to that is calling in a repairman because my dryer was making odd sounds and smelled like it was burning. He came, he listened, everything was fine, and has been since. It cost me $84 to watch a repairman do nothing. Yours may actually have to do something...
