It's a three-cookie morning
Our "new" boss brought in cookies leftover from a meeting this morning. It's indicative of how I'm feeling that I ate three large, heavily-iced shortbread cookies before 10AM.
They were very good, not that that justifies it. LOL.
There's nothing like an abundance of sugar and butter to comfort oneself, though.
Day 8 with Nicki and the Aerokat mask and I'm starting to think that all the cats I've seen in pics and YouTube videos actually were drugged. Or are extremely laid back cats, which is so not Nicki. In fact, my continued "failure" is what precipitated my early AM complete meltdown at home, though wasn't the only factor. Yep, Kim's going to fail yet another cat, health-wise -- or so it seems today.
Are there any cookies left???

But in the meantime, there is nothing wrong with cookies in the morning. Just saying.
When Silver passed I beat myself up over it for months because I felt I hadn't done my best for her. I put through hell the last week of her life trying to find out what was wrong with her and I promised myself later that I'd never allow that to happen to another cat.
Then Shady got sick, I hurried my decision and I beat myself up over that. The fact is we can't know what our cats are thinking...they can't tell us and all we can do is try.
I'm sure in his own way Nicki you are trying to help him but the mask is scary and he just can't past it.
Hang in there, I hope he eventually accepts it. If not, you tried your damnedest.
Slowly, slowly catchee monkey.
He is perhaps picking up your anxiety? Silly boy doesn't understand you are trying to help him :-(

I echo the words of the others - you are not a failure. Be kind to you!
Moosey has to take a bunch of meds, and even gets nose drops every night. Believe it or not, he's gotten used to it all -- doesn't *like* it, but he's quite good and tolerant of it.
Hang in there, my friend.
