This winter thing is getting really old, guys

The view last Friday, waiting for the bus home.
The boys' view last Friday, after work!
What's a kitty to do but a bit of personal hygiene and have a nap?

Some kitties even skip the personal hygiene part, go straight for the nap.
Saturday AM brought a great kitty TV show. (Tabbies, don't look!)
The boys certainly were looking!
Saturday afternoon they ventured outside.
It was a streeetttccchhhh to the tiny bare spot!
Nicki had to stick a paw in the snow, unfortunately.
More kitty TV on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday brought more of the same:
The only thing to do, with winter still entrenched, is to go back to sleep!
We're slated to get another 10 or so centimeters starting tonight and through Wednesday. Nothing like the storms blowing through the east coast, I realize, but still far more than any of us wants in mid-March.

However, we've had the time change ("spring ahead"), so winter's days are numbered. Or so I keep telling myself.  :-)

I'll leave you with a cute cartoon. The cartoonist was a guest on "The Goods" the other day (Canadian talk show).

Peace.

I agree with the boys... just nap until spring!

We'd all like someone to figure out how to zoom past winter! :-)

I'd love to do that...don't think the boss(es) would for for that. I think the time change really impacted me this time, never mind winter dreariness!

Boys I promise that this will end. I really know that it will. We had snow this morning but nothing at all as you boys are having. But the frigid temps, snow, and continuing rain WILL taper off and blue skies are coming. I love your bird TV. haven't seen a Mourning Dove in quite a while.

I’m with the boys, naps till it warms up.

I know spring will get here...we had an early start to winter, though, it feels especially long this year. However, without the weather, whatever would Canadians talk (or blog) about?

Best. Idea. Ever. Maybe I'll come back as a pampered house cat in my next life. :-)
Friday snow and wind, sat and Sunday were OK.
Tuesday evening another storm coming.
More snow and wind.
Spring cannot come fast enough!(next week, we hope)
Enjoy the warmth inside kitties.

we're right with you since Detroit is virtually your neighbor :)

What a nice looking plump dove! I bet the boys were looking!

I have to say they both look pretty content and happy. Of course, they're not the ones that have to go out in it every day like their human. However, they venture out in it much more than Pierrot. He always squawks to be let out and then quickly changes his mind. :)
The boys are enjoying their kitty tv!
I did not notice any snow drops peeking through the snow...that is always a sign for me that spring is on it's way.
That cartoon... =)

And you guys haven't really had any snow until now, either. Still, the winters feel longer every year, as I get older!

I know. It looks winter picture-perfect outside right now, but all the same...ugh. LOL.

Nicki paces around like a caged tiger when he can't get out. Drives me nuts. He seldom is out long (unless I'm outside too, in warmer weather), but oh, he wants OUT to check out his territory!

I saw 2 snowdrops up and ready to bloom last week, in one very protected spot, but they're snow-covered now, I'm sure. (It was on the way to work.) They'll survive, they're hardy!

It's a cheap faux sheepskin from Ikea. The really cheap kind. LOL. But the boys love them; I had purchased three from "Santa" for Christmas.

Holy cow! You still have snow ❄️!!! But it’s good to know you all are good and know how to have fun and warm in this freezing freak season 😸
Paw up for you & your fameowly

Yeah, we still have snow. :-(

Send us some heat, Mr Puddy! We need it!

We hope you're all well too, we haven't see a blog post from you in a long time!

Is that a mourning dove the boys are ogling? Deb, over at Just Cats sees them quite often and she doesn’t live far from you.

I can’t believe you will be receiving more snow. It looks like our skies will be, if not clear, then without precipitation for a while. The temperatures will not be high, but will be above freezing. I do like the first photograph you’ve displayed. The snow and the grey overcast are the perfect image of winter for me - though it would be better if it had been taken just before Christmas, and not a week before spring…

Yes, the mourning doves have been around for a while now. Lovely to hear their cooing.

I just had a quick peek back at my March 2017 pics and see we got 28 cm of snow last March 15, so I don't feel so badly that winter still is hanging on. Seems it did last year too!

Napping is the perfect answer to snowy days! Today we're having very cool temperatures (for us) but then it's supposed to end tomorrow and start climbing back up. We have been known to have coolish weather until Easter so it's not that unusual. I hope the snowing stops for you because I know you are more than ready for Spring!

Winter always feels like forever to me. It's like a snow globe outside at the moment, but it WILL go...eventually. LOL. We (Canadians) just like to grumble about the weather, talk about it, obsess about it.... :-)

Lots of snow here too, but at least it is melting now. It has been warm enough for the cats to be out in the sunroom in the afternoon. Turns out it is Eli's favorite place to play too.

Sure hope you don't get the 10 cm or that it melts quickly. Have a good rest of the week!

It'll go soon enough, Eileen. Not soon enough for me, but hey, I was done with winter at the beginning of December. LOL.

Take care; have a good rest-of-week.

Ugh. Sorry you're getting so much of the white stuff, Kim. I think the boys have the right idea ... stay inside as much as possible, stay warm, and nap until it gets warmer. :)

Hugs!
