A magical snowfall

We had about 10 cms of snow overnight Wednesday, so I took my little point and shoot to work with me yesterday and went for a walk at lunch time.

Fresh snow makes everything, even the mundane, look like a magical winter wonderland!

This is Bella

Most of it will disappear now with the milder temps and rain that's in the forecast. It's been a strange winter so far!

Anyway, happy Friday! It's a short work week for me, but after the holiday break, even three consecutive work days feels looooonnnng.

Peace.

How pretty! I love the fluffy snow when it sticks to the trees and bushes. I don't know how I would handle having to work though...we always shut down when there is even a threat of snow! It would be a culture shock for sure!

LOL. Yes, I guess it would. But since I've grown up in eastern parts of Canada, I've had decades of it and it's my 'normal'. I might have culture shock if I lived in your region, in other ways. :-)

It is so beautiful to look at!

Yes, it was! Much of it is gone now, as it's warmed up. Our November blast of winter aside, this season can't make up its mind what it wants to do. :-P
What a pretty snowfall! That golden sure does look happy!
The snow is beautiful. I love the dog in the first photo. Looks so friendly ♥
We are supposed to get the next few days, as well. It has been a very odd winter.

Bella had been chewing a toy or a bone and I wanted a pic of her like that, but as soon as I stopped she got up and starting barking, waving her tail madly.

Most of the snow we got is gone now, but more is in the forecast for Monday night, I think. Yes, an odd winter! I'm glad we're one day closer to spring, though. :-)

Thanks, it was at the time. :-)

love the shot of the woofie! Do you believe we haven't had a significant snowfall since NOVEMBER? It's crazy! It will probably snow in June lol

You're quite right: a fresh fall of snow makes everything beautiful. No matter where you are, your world can become a postcard. As usual your pictures are wonderful to look at and evocative to think about.

We were just talking about how the three day week felt super long, too. Nice that you got some snow, and had a chance to capture these lovely photos, Kim. We've had very little so far, but it's been very rainy. Strange, indeed.

Hugs to you, Nicki and Derry!

Thanks! Happy New Year to you too!

We had a big November snowfall too, and minus gazillions temps, and since then it's been off and on. I'll be mighty p*ssed if winter sticks around into the third week of April, though, like it did last year.

Thank you! Yes, even cityscapes can look pretty sometimes. At least, if you ignore the traffic zooming by you while you're snapping the pics. :-)

The snow lasted only a day, most has gone, which is fine by me. As long as winter doesn't hang around into April again this year, as it did last year!

Ha! Of course I'd never show the boys anything like that. A good pet parent protects their innocence. :-D
