Wrapping up the week on a nice note
I'm wrapping up the work week by listening to jazz while the cats do their thing out in the back space. I feel positively mellow right now, and no, I've not had anything to drink.
Actually, I felt like crap all week, attributed it to having a shot of rye every
evening for several days in a row (alcohol being a depressant, of course), so
went 5 days with nothing--and still didn't feel better. LOL. Oh well! I
wasn't the only one not feeling great--my cubicle neighbour has been sick for
a while now and one of my co-workers has been feeling "blah" too. Must
be something going around.
In any case, I certainly felt cheerier today with the end of the work week.
A "happy" for me: The mother next door mentioned in passing, this afternoon, that they're going away for the weekend. Yippee! The daughter currently is in Toronto for some reason (presumably at the grandparents' home), which is why it's been significantly quieter the past couple of days. Lucas has had his moments, but nothing off the scale. He's probably saving that for Sunday, when they get back. But I fully intend to enjoy the peace and quiet of Saturday, at least.
No exciting weekend plans, just the usual. I'm trying to work up the motivation to repaint my bedroom, since it's got splotches of off-white over the green (testing colour). The walls have been that way since oh, March, I think. Next weekend is the long Victoria Day holiday in Canada, the start of the "summer" tourist season, and it would be a good time to paint. Really. If only I could decide on a colour and if someone would give me that proverbial boot in the butt I seem to need.
I'd rather take floral snapshots. :-)
So I'll wish everyone a lovely weekend and a very happy Mother's Day, whether you're "mom" to non-human or human children. :-)

I was wondering, are there things you can put on the shared wall that would help with the noise? Maybe a make shift sound barrier with some kind of padding? Kinda like a sound proof studio set up on the cheap? If that makes sense at all! :)
You take extra special care and enjoy your weekend!
Love the pink themed floral shots!! Beautiful!
take care

Thank you for the lovely bouquet! Happy Mother's Day to you too!!!
Our "furry children" are the best! ;)
I was home all day alone today.
I didn't accomplish anything.
:)
I think that's a good thing.
