Signs of Spring

On this first day of Spring 2016, here are a few recent signs:

Snowdrops and crocuses from Thursday at lunch time

Geese, robin and red wing blackbird from Saturday.

I was so excited to finally see robins! I've been hearing them every morning and evening too but hadn't seen any until yesterday.

Today has been quiet. I "popped out" to Home Depot and back (you can't "pop out" anywhere on public transit -- lol). I'm anticipating, not eagerly, the return of the "fleas" from March break. I figure they'll go out with a bang, so to speak...but at least they'll go out.  :-)

As for the boys, they had great fun this morning when I opened up the sofa bed to see how difficult it would be to deconstruct (i.e. unscrew/unbolt the bed frame part to make it easier to get out of the house). They both seemed to think of it as a kitty jungle gym.

Other than that, the day has been uneventful for us all...for a change.  :-)

Peace.

Hi Kim, it does my heart good to see your flower photos. I'm glad you finally saw a robin!
Love the photos of the boys. Looks like they had a good time. Love the tussle!
your flowers are way ahead of ours which is strange since you are further north, go figure!
Leave it to the boys, if there is something to be done around the house, they are on it! Happy Spring!

I bet the boys are happy not to be locked up! Glad the fleas have been away for a few days as well.

Good luck getting rid of the old sofa bed. I had one in the basement of the old house and it was pain in the butt to get out.

Have a great week!

It's great to see the boys having their fun.

The first day of spring was perfect here: about 19 degrees and sunny. I went bicycling and the cats had the fresh air through the screened windows all day. A good start to the season.

Great flower and bird pictures, Kim! That sofa bed looks like fun (judging from Nicki and Derry, of course). :)

Hugs!

Hi Robin, yes, the boys had a great time. Anytime I move things around, it fires them up and they have a great time. :-)

Those flowers were in a sunny spot downtown, though I've seen others coming up now too. We're anticipating a (snow) storm on Thursday, though! :-O

It's not looking promising to get rid of the hide-a-bed...I think 1-800-Got-Junk is in my future.

19C!!!! OMC, I'd think I'd died and went to heaven. LOL. We're bracing for snow Wednesday night/Thursday. I hope by then the temps have come up, but it's not looking good.

Yes, great fun for the boys...not such great fun for me to get rid of! :-D

They are...and if I can get rid of that old "albatross" and get something new, they'll have fun with that too. :-)

Hi guys, nice to see you here, thanks for stopping by!

We're expecting a snowstorm Wednesday night/Thursday, though we'll hope for rain -- it's not looking promising, though.

As for the "jungle gym," I would like it GONE!!!
